Our Hoof Balm is a gentle all-natural blend containing Lanolin, Beeswax and Neatsfoot oil that is designed to assist with maintaining healthy, strong hooves. Our balm is a year-round helping hand which, combined with good nutrition, will assist in maintaining a health hoof in our harsh environment as our special formulation seals in moisture and prevents the hoof from drying and cracking. Our hoof balm also contains a special selection of essential oils specifically chosen for their hoof health superpowers and of course they make our Hoof Balm smell incredible!
Our hero ingredients include:
Lanolin: Lanolin is a natural emollient derived from wool it forms a thick oily layer on the hoof that deeply moisturises and prevents moisture escaping the hoof wall and sole.
Natural Unrefined Beeswax: We only use natural unrefined Bees Wax at Stable Essentials to harness its full spectrum of properties. Like lanolin it moisturises the hoof whilst also forming a thick protective layer preventing moisture from escaping the hoof wall and sole.
Neatsfoot Oil: Neatsfoot Oil is a natural oil that has been used since the 18th century for its ability to condition, soften and preserve hooves and leather. It is a brilliant natural alternative to the harsh petroleum-based paraffin oil that is often used in other hoof balms.
Directions for use: Brush liberally over the hoof, sole and frog daily or as required.
